For many years, Jim Gardner was a master technician and partner at Protano's Service Center. In 2005, the property on which Protano's stood was sold. Jim's partner retired, and Jim was faced with decisions about his future. He wasn't interested in retiring yet, and he liked the neighborhood in which he had been working his entire adult life--so he opted to open his own shop right down the street. In late January of 2006, Gardner Automotive was born.
Now, ten years later, Jim's daughter Julia and his long-time employee Jay Cintron have bought the business. Both Julia and Jay were taught by Jim, and are focused on upholding the business with the same standards of quality and friendliness that Jim maintained with his beloved customers for many years.
